Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, received at the Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad yesterday UAE Ambassador, Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Zawi Al-Shehhi, who conveyed to him, during the meeting, greetings from President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and reiterated the UAE's support for the Iraqi government.

Eimert Van Middelkoop, Dutch Minister of Defence received yesterday Ali Thani Al Suweidi, UAE Ambassador to the Netherlands.
During the meeting, the UAE envoy delivered an invitation from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to the Dutch Defence Minister to attend the 9th Edition of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) due to be held in Abu Dhabi in February 22nd, 2009.

King of Spain accepts UAE envoy's credentials Posted on 18/12/2008
Dr Hassa Abdullah Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Spain presented her credentials to King Juan Carlos of Spain at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Tuesday.
Dr Hassa Al Otaiba conveyed to the Spanish King greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She said that the UAE was keen to bolster ties with Spain in all fields.

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has conferred the title of Sir on the UAE Ambassador to the UK Eissa Saleh Al-Gurg. The award of the title comes in recognition of Al-Gurg's eventful diplomatic career during which he represented UAE in UK and worked successfully to bring the two friendly countries closer.

Buenos Aires - UAE's newly appointed Ambassador to Argentina Mohammed Isa Al Za'abi presented yesterday a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Argentina Jorge Taiana.
